Kante will remain with Caen if Leicester move not sanctioned

SM Caen director Xavier Gravelaine has made it clear that midfielder N'Golo Kante will only be allowed to leave for Leicester City.

24-year old French midfielder Kante is a target for Marseille who recently made an offer of around £3.5million (€5m).

Leicester's offer of £6.4m (€9m) is believed to have been accepted by Caen but the player himself is keen on a move to Marseille which has created a stalemate between the trio of clubs.

"If he does not want to go to England, he will remain at the Stade Malherbe," Gravelaine is quoted as saying in the French media.

"The offer of Marseille, five million euros, is too low. It shows a lack of respect to the Stade Malherbe and N'Golo Kante. "He does not go to Marseille at this rate. We will not be treated like turkeys. Financially we have no worries, we don't need to sell."
