Kantarovski excited by Newcastle Jets’ new boys

Newcastle Jets midfielder Ben Kantarovski says he is excited by the signings his club has made in the off-season.

The Jets have added Tasmanian excitement machine Andy Brennan, FFA Cup winning duo Nigel Boogaard and Cameron Watson, as well as Labinot Haliiti and Mateo Poljak, who both won the Asian Champions League with Western Sydney, ahead of the upcoming season.

Kantarovski, who has been with the Jets since making his debut as a 23-year-old in 2008, believes the experience coming into his side will make for an improved season in 2015/16.

"Players with championship winning experience have a different drive to more inexperienced squad members and they do all the little things right that add up in a game," Kantarovski told the Jets' official website.

"We've had experienced players like that here in the past and it's good have some of that culture back in the club again.

"Those type of players have an extra bit of spark and don't take anything for granted which helped them perform on the big stage. Hopefully they've [Boogaard, Watson, Haliti & Poljak] brought that with them."
