Kansas City Wizards players have vowed to step up and improve performances following the sacking of head coach Curt Onalfo.
After a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of FC Dallas on the weekend, Onalfo was handed his fate, citing reactions from some of the players.
"It was a little somber," said Jimmy Conrad, defender and team captain. "Everyone cared for Curt and K-Dog ( Assistant head coach Kris Kelderman, who was also dismissed). We'll miss those guys. They'll land on their feet and both have great futures."
Josh Wolff and Jack Jewsbury said the team's accomplishments have not been enough this season.
"It's just a matter of us being better on the field and stepping up our performance," Jewsbury said.
"It's business and the results haven't been good enough," Wolff said. "We'll have to really look at ourselves."
