Harry Kane has thanked Jose Mourinho after he was sacked as manager of Tottenham on Monday.

The Portuguese was shown the door after 17 months at the club, just days from the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

Kane was the first Spurs player to release a statement following the news.

He wrote on his Twitter account, accompanied by a photo of the pair: "Thank you for everything, Boss. A pleasure to have worked together.

"I wish you all the best for your next chapter."
