Former Manchester United and Everton winger Andrei Kanchelskis can see Leandro Paredes moving to Chelsea.

The Blues are suddenly again ahead of PSG in the race for the Argentine due to Zenit St Petersburg's valuation being regarded as too steep by the Parisians.

Kanchelskis told Sport-Express, "Yes, I see it (Paredes going to Chelsea). The Argentinian before Russia appeared in Italy, with Roma, he has European experience. Maybe (Maurizio) Sarri noticed him already then? So such a transfer, in my opinion, is real.

"Why not? It is evident that this is a qualified midfielder. All the qualities are with him. So this is a pretty true story."

But Kanchelskis also had a warning.
