Kalimuddin and Bai step up after Valencia dismissal of president Murthy

Khojama Kalimuddin has taken charge of Valencia's board after the sacking of president Anil Murthy.

Murthy was dumped yesterday after the secret recordings of him being published by Superdeporte.

VCF have announced that Kalimuddin will step him to lead the board as a permanent replacement is found:

"The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Bai as acting Director General on an interim basis. Mr. Bai has been with the club since 2018 and is currently the Director of the VCF Academy. During this interim period, he will primarily oversee the football operations of Valencia CF and report to the Board.

"The Board will immediately commence a search process to appoint a new President for Valencia CF, and an announcement will be made in due course. In the meantime, Khojama Kalimuddin, a Non-Executive Director of the Board of Valencia CF, will stand in as President of the Board of Directors to oversee the administration of the club during this interim period.

"The Board would like to reiterate that Valencia CF are fully committed to achieving long-term growth and success, and to complete the construction of the new Mestalla stadium. We look forward to working with fans, authorities and other relevant stakeholders to achieve these objectives."
