Kaka and Villa amongst the goals as MLS All-Stars get better of Tottenham

The MLS All-Stars have beaten Tottenham 2-1 in the 2015 AT&T All-Star game in Denver, Colorado.

Goals from Orlando City star Kaka and New York City FC ace David Villa saw the All-Stars skip away to a two-goal lead before Spurs pulled one back through Harry Kane in an all-action first half at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Brazilian great Kaka opened the scoring on 20 minutes when he beat Michel Vorm from the spot after Nacer Chadli had been penalised for handball in the area.

That goal was quickly followed up by Villa who produced a clever deflection to turn in Kaka's effort from the right, immediately after Nick Rimando had made a quality save to deny Kane down the other end.

With eight minutes remaining in the first half, Tottenham broke through when Kane ran at the last defender after pouncing on a loose ball and fired home from 18 yards.

18,671 fans turned up to witness the 20th edition of the MLS All-Star game which gave the hosts back up last season's 2-1 win over Bayern Munich.

Kaka was named Man of the Match for his one-goal, one-assist performance.
