Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz insists his nickname was conjured up by the press.

Havertz is known by some as 'King Kai', though it's a moniker he is keen to duck.

He told Sport1: “Those who know me understand that I would never call myself that.

"Most people just call me Kai, and 'king' is from the press.

"You definitely can't be a legend at 22, but you can be part of the club's successful history, and this will remain forever."

Havertz has been Chelsea's matchwinner in both the Champions League and Club World Cup finals over the past year.
