KAA Gent are open to extending the stay of Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sorloth.

The Norway international has shone on-loan at Gent since signing in January.

Gent management accept a permanent deal is out of reach, though the prospect of a new loan hasn't been ruled out.

Club director Michel Louwagie says an attempt will be made to keep hold of Sorloth for next season.

The striker moved to Palace in January 2018 from FC Midtjylland for €10m.
