K-League enjoys goal spree in opening weekend

Korea's K-League kicked off on the weekend and it bought about plenty of goals.

In fact, the 21 goals scored in the 7 games was the most in an opening round since the inception of the league in 1983.

FC Seoul had the biggest win of Round 1 with a 6-1 demolition of Chunnam Dragons.

Kim chi-Woo scored a brace for the capital club in a perfect start to their season.

Pohang Steelers edged out Suwon Bluewings 3-2 in the other high-scoring match of the first week whilst Gwangju Sangmu defeated Daejeon Citizen 3-0.

Gangwon FC scored a 1-0 win over Jeju United, Incheon United notched up a similar result over Bulsan I'Park, and to round it off Seongnam Ilhwa and Daegu FC played out a 1-1 draw as did Jeonbuk and Gyeongnam.
