Juventus to launch bid for Napoli defender Koulibaly - on Sarri orders

Juventus are ready to launch a bid for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Tuttosport says Juve have pulled out of the running for Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt to focus on Napoli's Senegal international.

An opening offer of €80m is being prepared, though that falls well short of Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis's valuation of €150m.

However, Juve could hold a trump card in Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri is set to be confirmed new Juve coach in the coming days and enjoys the respect of Koulibaly thanks to their time together with Napoli.

The Italian has already discussed new additions with Juve chiefs and Koulibaly features high on the agenda.
