Juventus table pre-contract offer to Man City striker Sergio Aguero

Juventus have tabled a pre-contract offer to Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

It's been announced Aguero and City will part ways this summer as his deal expires in June. As such, Aguero is free to negotiate pre-contract terms with any foreign club.

Sport via Le 10 Sport says while Barcelona are keen, Juve have jumped ahead in the battle for Aguero's signature.

The Bianconeri have tabled a two-year pre-contract offer to Aguero, which is for less than what he currently earns with City.

However, given Italy's favourable tax conditions for footballers, the deal still remains attractive for the Argentine.

Aguero, who is City's record goalscorer, has struggled with injury and illness this season, though is now fully fit. The striker has managed 15 appearances for City this term, scoring three goals.

At Juve, the 32 year-old's arrival would suit a board which is desperately trying to balance the books. He would arrive to work with Cristiano Ronaldo, with Juve having no striker similar to Aguero's style.
