Juventus star Carlos Tevez admits his blow up with Roberto Mancini almost drove him into retirement.

While with Manchester City, Tevez infamously refused to warm-up during a Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, which infuriated Mancini at the time.

Asked if he was happy in England, Tevez told El Pais: At City I did, but I made a mistake and paid for it [he refused to come on in a match against Bayern Munich and Roberto Mancini froze him out].

"I considered quitting football.

"He told me: 'You won't play for City again', and that's where it ended."
