Juventus striker Paulo Dybala has hailed Barcelona star Lionel Messi as today's Diego Maradona.

They are rivals at club level but play together for the Argentina national team.

"I have always admired Ronaldinho," Dybala told France Football. "But Leo is like Diego Maradona for those of our generation.

"For me it's an honour to play with him in the national team. He dragged us to the World Cup with the hat-trick in Ecuador.

"He is a born leader."
