The 19-year old forward, who is on loan at York City from Sheffield United, will play for Italy's U20s against Qatar on Wednesday and it is believed that the Bianconeri will cast an eye over him.
De Girolamo, who was born in Chesterfield but is eligible to represent the Azzurri through his Naples-born father, has also attracted interest from Premier League side Sunderland and Championship outfit AFC Bournemouth.
The Blades youth academy product has made two senior appearances for the Bramall Lane outfit but has opted to turn down a contract extension and is likely to depart in the summer. He joined York on loan on February 17 and has so far played once for the League Two club.
