Patrice Evra has revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson once told him he would make a great coach.

Juventus left-back Evra played under Ferguson at Manchester United between 2006 and last summer and during that time he proved to the Old Trafford great that he has the capabilities to one day safely move into management.

"There are strange feelings now that I didn't have at the start. Ferguson, before he left, called me into his office," Evra told Canal+.

"He said to me, 'Pat, I'm going to tell you something very important. There are two players who'll be great coaches in this team, that's Ryan Giggs and you'.

"I have passed some of the badges as a coach in Manchester. I do everything slowly. I want to get my coaching badges. We'll see after that."
