Juve have been linked with Liverpool defender Glen Johnson, though his asking price may prove too rich.

Alternatives are being considered from Serie A, where Parma's Cristian Zaccardo and Chievo's Thomas Manfredini are up for discussion.

Zaccardo can play at right-back and Manfredini at left-back. Both can also be deployed in central defence.
