Juventus are struggling to gather the funds to sign Gabriel Barbosa, handing Chelsea a window to swoop in for the Santos youngster – according to reports.
Juventus and Chelsea are both in the race to sign Barbosa this summer and it had been reported that the Italian giants had moved ahead of the Blues in the race to sign the Brazilian sensation, after having a bid of around £16.7million accepted.
However, Calcio Mercato suggests that Chelsea have been handed a chance to hijack the move as Juventus are reportedly struggling to fund the proposed deal.
While Juve expect to receive in excess of £100million from the sale of Paul Pogba to Manchester United, they have already spent £75 million on signing Gonzalo Higuain and the Old Lady will be able to sign Barbosa only if they can offload Simone Zaza in the coming days.
