Juventus are ready to test Ajax's resolve in January for Matthijs de Ligt.

Corriere dello Sport says Juve have identified the Holland international as a priority target for the winter transfer window.

Juve intend to make an opening offer of €40m for De Ligt, knowing they face an auction with Barcelona for the 19 year-old.

However, Juve are encouraged after De Ligt visited the club recently to see their training facilities and stadium.

While he did not give his commitment, De Ligt came away impressed from his visit to Turin.
