Juventus playmaker Pirlo named PFA Player of Year

Andrea Pirlo was always confident of glory with Juventus.

The midfielder left AC Milan for Juve 18 months ago.

"I was looking for new emotions," Pirlo stated as he was named as the 2012 Player of the Year at the Gran Gala del Calcio on Sunday. "I found them at Juventus.

"I was convinced of Juventus when I joined them and I'm still convinced of the club today," continued the playmaker.

"The most important thing for us now is to win the Scudetto again and to obviously be competitive in Europe."
