Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon has ducked the controversy over Giorgio Chiellini's selection for Italy.
Juve management are upset over Chiellini's call-up after he has only just returned from injury.
"These are situations I cannot get involved in, especially as I don't know what happened specifically and my role allows me to listen without judging," said Buffon.
"I have enough experience to know it is best not to get involved. In any case, I believe it was a misunderstanding. Everyone thinks they are doing their best to look out for their team and that is true of both the Nazionale and Juve."
