Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic admits they weren't good enough for defeat in the Supercoppa to Lazio.

Luis Alberto, Senad Lulic and Danilo Cataldi struck for Lazio in the 3-1 triumph, as Paulo Dybala had drawn Juve level.

“There is disappointment, because we really wanted to win this trophy," Pjanic told reporters in the mixed zone.

“In the first half it was very even, played with a low tempo. Perhaps we got a little stretched out after the break, as there were more spaces and Lazio made the most of them to score the goal.

“We had our chances to go 2-1 up too, but in general it was not a great performance from our team. We know there are things to improve, that we need to be more solid at the back if we want to win, to control the pitch better.

"It's disappointing, but we've still got a lot to do and many objectives to achieve. There's a Scudetto to win, the Champions League and the Coppa Italia."
