Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi has branded Cristiano Ronaldo's dismissal as "incomprehensible".

Ronaldo saw red for Juve's Champions League win at Valencia after an apparent clash with Jeison Murillo.

Matuidi admits Juve's players were baffled by the decision.

"It is very severe, I think that if you saw the images, you could see that it is incomprehensible," said the midfielder.

"Afterwards, I hope they will look and we can have something positive for him because he does not deserve that. He was sad after the match, very sad, and we were all sad for him."
