Juventus midfielder Douglas Costa admits the players have no idea when they'll return.
Douglas Costa is currently in Brazil with his family as he waits for word for the lifting of the coronavirus suspension.
“I don't know when we'll be told to come back," Costa told Esporte Interative.
“At the moment we are not playing, but we are training. The salary issue is complicated because when you ask a player for money, the player complains.
“Here we discussed everything with each other, and we knew that at any time the situation could get worse and that it would also affect our earnings.
“We are aware of it, it is something that affects all the teams and our club is not to blame, it is not responsible for the virus. Nobody had a glass ball to know the future and all sports have stopped, not just football.
“We are waiting for when the situation in Italy is better. We should have returned on April 3, but I spoke with the captain (Giorgio Chiellini) and he said that we will be back on the 15th or 20th, if all goes well.
“It's all very confusing. I am currently at home with the family. It's nice to be able to spend some time with them and only with them because you can't be with anyone else.
“How will the season end? I don't know if it will continue. It is possible that the championship will be assigned to the first in the standings, or that the championship may be ended."
