Juventus legend David Trezeguet is set to sign with Argentina's River Plate.

A financial deal has been agreed and the 34-year-old will put pen to paper with the Second Division outfit once he completes his physical tests.

"This is a dream," stated the World Cup winner. "I left Argentina as a youngster and I return to the country with great enthusiasm.

"River Plate is the pinnacle. I am ready to give my best and I've already experienced Serie B football with Juventus in my career.

"Our objective back then was promotion as well."
