Italy legend Paolo Rossi has slammed Inter Milan's summer transfer market campaign.
The Nerazzurri are amazingly just one point above the relegation zone after a nightmare start to the campaign which has seen them suffer five losses in nine games.
"You can't freshen up a squad like Inter's with players like Luc Castaignos and Ricky Alvarez," the former Juventus forward, top scorer at Spain '82, told Sky Sport Italia.
"You can't get back to being competitive with players of that nature.
"It's evident that Inter's principal players are not delivering the performances which they had assured over previous seasons.
"And let us not forget that Inter let go of Samuel Eto'o in the summer, a player of reference to the side who could often resolve the outcome of a game."
