Milan legend Paolo Maldini currently holds Serie A's appearance record with 647, but his former Italy teammate is only one game behind.

Szczesny, if he misses tonight, should be back in contention when Juve face Lazio in the Supercoppa on December 22 in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
