Juventus and Inter Milan are convinced Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is set to become available.
City boss Roberto Mancini is chasing Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao, but at £48 million, he will have to sell to comply with UEFA's new Financial Fair Play rules.
That would mean either Balotelli or Eden Dzeko becoming available in January.
