Juventus GM Beppe Marotta has taken aim at Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis over his sniping.
De Laurentiis has made several controversial statements, implying Juventus had the support of “the most powerful family in Italy," using Sassuolo and Bayern Munich to interrupt the Partenopei's transfer strategy.
“Paradoxically, what other people say just fires us up even further," director of sport Marotta told Mediaset Premium.
“We are absolutely not affected by any of these comments. De Laurentiis, as a good cinema man, likes to put on a show.
“If you want a more serious answer, I will quote Schopenhauer, who said when someone speaks ill of you, it reveals more about themselves than about you."
