Juventus edge ahead of Man City in Ndombele battle

Manchester City face a battle to win the race for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele's signature.

Lyon's French defensive midfielder, 22, has been on Pep Guardiola's radar as a long-term replacement for Fernandinho, says The Sun.

But he is now set to join Juventus for £60million.

Fernandinho turned 33 earlier this month and City could switch their sights to Atletico Madrid pair Saul Niguez and Rodri.

City are also thought to be duelling another European giant for a similar anchorman to Ndombele.

PSG are believed to be ready to bid for Borussia Dortmund's Germany star Julian Weigl, 23, who has five caps.
