Juventus eager to close Van Persie deal with Man Utd

Juventus are willing to up their bid for Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.

The Daily Star says Juve are plotting a £10m swoop for Van Persie.

The Champions League runners-up are bracing themselves for the loss of Carlos Tevez and want Van Persie to replace him.

Tevez is expected to leave the Italian champions this summer following a successful spell that has seen him help them win back-to-back Serie A titles.

Tevez is a target of Paris St-Germain but is also mulling over a return to Argentina to see out his career with Boca Juniors.

Now Juve managing director Giuseppe Moratta has set his sights on luring unsettled Van Persie to Italy.
