Manchester City have failed in an attempt to sign Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus.
The veteran Italian defender was viewed as a cheaper alternative to Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.
Sky Sport Italia report 33-year-old Bonucci was wanted by Pep Guardiola.
However, he wants to remain in Italy and is going to stay with Juventus.
Bonucci, who as a deal with Juve until 2024, hopes to get along well with new Juve boss and former teammate Andrea Pirlo.
