Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri admits he had little input on the departure of Mario Mandzukic.

The veteran striker was undergoing a medical on Sunday in Qatar ahead of signing for Rui Faria's Al-Duhail.

After defeat in the Supercoppa to Lazio, Sarri said of Mandzukic's departure: "I don't know what to say.

"Mandzukic and the club had made a decision months ago. I haven't seen him since September.

"It seems to me a logical conclusion of the choice made between the club and the boy months ago."
