Juventus coach Allegri has Messi dig at Arsenal, Man Utd target Dybala

Juventus coach Max Allegri has taken aim at departing striker Paulo Dybala.

The 28-year-old called a halt on his Juventus career following a seven-year spell with the Italian giants and has since been linked with moves to the Premier League, namely to Arsenal and Manchester United.

But Allegri, who has been Dybala's superior since returning to the Old Lady in 2021, has called the striker's attitude into question.

"Paulo needs to go back to being himself," he told DAZN.

"There was a time where he got all carried away by those who labelled him as 'the new Messi'.

"A player can't go around trying to play, to think or to be like someone else.

"He still has lots to give because he has an extraordinary technical ability, he is a wonderful player."
