Juventus coach Max Allegri says Paulo Dybala has struggled with comparisons with fellow Argentine Lionel Messi.

Dybala s leaving Juve this month as his contract winds down.

“I think he must rediscover his true self. There was a moment when he was dragged by the fact that he was considered the new Messi, but everyone must be himself," he said.

“You can't emulate the others. He has a lot to give to football, he has extraordinary technical qualities, he is so good, but he must focus on his physical and technical qualities."

Messi is one of the few stars Allegri hasn't worked with during his career.

“I didn't coach him, he is the only top player I miss. I coached all the others. To watch Gigi Bufon train and talk to the team was incredible. Except when he went in goal and didn't dive," he said, smiling.
