Juventus chief Cherubini in contact with Man Utd midfielder Van de Beek

Juventus have made a move for unsettled Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.

Blocked from joining Everton on-loan by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on deadline day, Van de Beek remains frustrated after failing to see his playing chances improve this season.

Juve sports chief Federico Cherubini has made contact with Van de Beek's agent Guido Albers about a move to Turin in January.

However Juve aren't alone, reports Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira, with Newcastle United's new owners also in contact.

Quoted by Voetbalzone, Schira stated: "Donny van de Beek could leave Manchester United in January. Juventus have shown interest for the midfielder: Juve's sports director Cherubini has talked with his agent Guido Albers in the last days.

"Bianconeri are interested for a loan with option to buy. Newcastle also want him."

With United last season, Van de Beek managed 36 appearances, scoring once. He has a contract with the Premier League giants to 2025. However this season, Van de Beek has had one start in the Carabao Cup.

With his struggles at Old Trafford, the midfielder has not been considered for Louis van Gaal's first two Holland squads since his appointment after the Euros.
