Juventus captain Danilo has rapped his teammates after defeat at Sassuolo.

Juve lost 1-0 via a Gregoire Defrel goal on Sunday.

"Playing every three days does drain you of physical and mental energy, but also means you can immediately get back on the field and make up for defeats," Danilo told Sky Italia.

“We are disappointed by this result and the first half performance especially, but on Thursday there is a very important match for our season and we must be ready.

“Attitude is important, in order to play football you need the right mentality, to understand how the opponents play," added Danilo.

“Sassuolo pass the ball around really well, if you run back and forth without a real reason for doing any of it, then they can make you dizzy. We need to improve the way we read the space and movements."
