Juventus captain Chiellini calls for 'common sense' over armband issue

Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini has called for "common sense" over the armband issue.

Lega Serie A are threaten to fine any club wearing a different armband from the standard one handed out this season.

Fiorentina point-blank refused to change theirs, as it includes the 'DA13' logo – a tribute to captain Davide Astori, who died in his sleep at the team hotel in March.

“This needless controversy erupted because there was an unnecessary lack of communication," said Chiellini.

“None of us would have a problem wearing an armband that was uniform. We'll find a solution with the Lega Serie A, because it's only right that Davide be remembered forever.

“With a bit of common sense, everything will be resolved."
