Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa was proud of his goal in Italy's Euro 2020 victory over Austria.
The Azzurri are into the quarterfinals after an extra-time 2-1 win.
“We deserved to score and qualify. The coach always wants us to be ready, he keeps saying there are 26 starters and everybody wants to help," Chiesa told Sky Italia.
“I remained calm, in these situations, you want to go for the goal straight away. Instead, I decided to stop the ball and take time before the shot on target," the Juventus winger said.
“Austria have important players, they have quality and they kept the ball possession creating trouble for us, but I believed we deserve to qualify."
