QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar hopes to be back for their clash with Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
The Daily Mail says Julio Cesar, who injured his abductor muscle, is ahead of schedule and wants to replace Rob Green.
Green came off the bench for the 0-0 draw at Sunderland, when Cesar was injured, and played in the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa on Saturday.
Brazilian Cesar, the highest profile signing of Mark Hughes' reign when he moved from Inter Milan, is desperate to play his part in the QPR revival.
Club medics still believe he may have to wait until Rangers play Fulham at home on December 15, but he wants to play before then.
