Former Watford defender Juan Camilo Zuniga says he enjoyed his time at Vicarage Road.

The Colombian spent the 2016/17 season on loan with the Hornets, joining up with his friend and former boss from NapoliWalter Mazzarri.

“We all know the special bond between him and me," said Zuniga, now retired.

"He knew me for a long time and did his best to bring me to Watford, he insisted they sign me.

“I could have gone to Juventus a few years before but when I joined Watford all I wanted was to focus on the present and play well for them because nobody can go back and change the past.

“I am very grateful to the hierarchy of the club because they were great people and treated me very well."
