Josh Tymon was delighted with his winning debut in their Carabao Cup win over Rochdale.
The 18-year-old summer signing aced an audition for the first team when he was handed his debut in last night's 4-0 Carabao Cup win over Rochdale.
“I thanked the manager after the game," he said. “He stuck to his word. He said he was going to give me a chance and that's why I came here. He said he wanted me to challenge for the first team spot.
“I knew I wasn't going to be in from the word go but I've put competition in and I hope I've shown him I'm fit, well and ready to go if he puts me in."
