Chief executive Tony Scholes has revealed that new signing Joselu rejected the advances of top European clubs to join Stoke City.
Stoke completed their third signing of the summer by recruiting the services of Spanish striker Joselu from German side Hannover for a reported fee of around £5.75million on Tuesday.
The signing of Joselu is a big boost for the Potters and now Scholes has gone on to reveal that the former Real Madrid striker rejected the advances of a couple of leading clubs around Europe in order to 'fulfill his ambitions'.
Scholes told the club official website: "Joselu was one of our key summer targets and so I am delighted that we have been able to complete this deal.
"Despite offers from leading European clubs Joselu has decided to join Stoke City to fulfill his ambitions."
