Jose Callejon is locked in new contract talks with Napoli.

The veteran's agent admits an agreement is still to be found, however.

“(Napoli President Aurelio) De Laurentiis always wanted to renew his contract," agent Manuel Garcia Quilon told Calciomercato.it.

“We are grateful for the interest shown towards Jose and how he has been treated here. There is no agreement at the moment, the two positions are both entirely respectable and there has never been an argument.

“There is reciprocal affection, as we spent so many years together, and these situations are part of football. We'll see.

“Jose has basically not stopped in seven years, he had almost 50 matches per season, and always played to a high level. The contract running down had no effect on his performances, as he gives his all for the Napoli jersey and this city, feeling that he represents both."

The winger will be a free agent in June.
