Jose Bordalas makes Getafe return: I couldn't stay at home knowing my president needed me

Jose Bordalas has been named new coach of Getafe.

Bordalas to coach Getafe for the second time, replacing Quique Sanchez Flores, who was sacked on Thursday.

He said today: "In the end I have summarised it, I could not be at home with crossed arms when my president (Angel Torres) and my friend and Getafe needed me.

"I love the whole family. Everything has developed very quickly, we talked and we are here, which is what is important. The most important thing is to face tomorrow's game to try to play a good game and get the points.

"The key will be to add the necessary points for that salvation and for this we have to win games and be united. Being aware that it is not easy, but with the work and union of all we can achieve it.

"For me, the most important game is always the immediate one. It is against Espanyol that a lot is being played. We are focused on that game. There has been little time to prepare for it, it was played last Wednesday, I arrived last night and I had a session. It's not an excuse, we have to be united. With everyone's effort we will achieve it.

"I fully trust the team. I have had many of them under my command, I know them, they know me. In some ways, it's not that it's any easier. I know that it is a good dressing room, what we have as objective is that they give the maximum performance and best version."
