Jordi Farre has announced he'll again be running for the Barcelona presidency when elections are held in 2021.

During the 2015 presidential elections, Farre's Somt Gent Normal candidacy received 2,033 votes - 500 below the necessary total needed to run in the final elections.

Farre is 44 years old, was born in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat in Catalonia and is a self-declared supporter of Catalan independence.

Farre will join Victor Font and Lluis Fernandez Ala as candidates in 2021, with Joan Laporta also expected to stand.
