Jones eager to make full Stoke home debut

Kenwyne Jones is ready to make his home debut for Stoke City tomorrow night against Aston Villa.

The £8 million record signing looks set to make his home debut in the live televised match and has declared that he is now fully recovered from the ankle injury which he sustained on the opening day of the new season.

Jones told Stoke's website: "It has been hard, it always is when you are out injured, especially when you have only just signed for a new club because you want to be out there and playing.

"I played for an hour at Chelsea two weeks ago, but I wasn't fully fit. But now I am ready to make my proper debut.

Jones added: "I can't wait to step out in front of the supporters at the Britannia Stadium because when you see them cheering the lads on from the side, you just want to be out there performing well for them."
