Jonas Gutierrez remains committed to Newcastle United.

The Evening Chronicle says Gutierrez - who is represented by his parents rather than an agent - is thought to be keen to stay and fight for his place at Newcastle next term.

The winger's contract still has another two years to run, but he must contend with new boy Sylvain Marveaux for a slot in midfield next season.

The Argentine has been linked with Sevilla and Malaga this week.
