Brennan Johnson is delighted he turned down the chance to leave Nottingham Forest in January.
The Forest academy graduate rejected the likes of Everton, Tottenham, West Ham, Brentford and Newcastle United.
He ultimately helped Forest secure promotion to the Premier League with a play-off final win over Huddersfield Town.
"For me it's always just about playing regularly and getting loads of football because you learn more like that," Johnson told Sgorio.
"In January there were a few options for me to leave, but I did see something special in the team as well.
"I'm not saying I called us going up, but I did think we had a good chance of getting in the play-offs and I knew anything could happen from there. It's so good that it's worked out like that."
