Manchester City's players believe they remain a better team than new Premier League champions Liverpool, says John Stones.
Pep Guardiola's men have already won the Carabao Cup and remain on course to lift the Champions League and FA Cup as well to make it back-to-back trebles.
Stones admits City will be gunning for Jurgen Klopp's champions next season and when asked if his side still believe they are the best in the land he said: "Yeah, we are quietly confident we are.
We know our ability and the standards we have set for ourselves in the dressing room.
"Every three or four days, playing at this high standard is something to be very proud of as players. That's what we keep striving to do.
"We want to finish this season off and take it into next season, keeping our standards and trying to better ourselves, defensively and taking our chances."
